The November jobs report for metropolitan areas is out today, and Edinburg again ranked among the fastest growing regions nationally.
The McAllen-Edinburg-Mission metro area added 14,800 jobs in November on a year-over-year (YoY) basis. Among the top 100 largest metros, our region’s 5.6% growth rate YoY ranked 14th nationally and was tied with Dallas for second place among large Texas metros (Austin 7.8%). Total employment in McAllen-Edinburg-Mission now stands at nearly 280,000 jobs, an all-time high for the region.
