Driscoll Children’s Hospital Rio Grande Valley is the region's only designated freestanding pediatric specialty hospital, offering PICU, Level III NICU, Emergency Services, Surgery, and other pediatric programs like rehabilitation and the Child Life Program to enhance access to specialized care for children in the Rio Grande Valley. Hospital is expected to generate $124.7 million per year in gross product. The South Texas Health System (STHS) includes five acute hospitals and one behavioral hospital that all serve the Rio Grande Valley community.
