Edinburg EDC and City of Edinburg to Break Ground on New Workforce Resource Center and Golf Clubhouse

EDINBURG, TX — The Edinburg Economic Development Corporation (EEDC), in partnership with the City of Edinburg, invites members of the media and the public to attend the official groundbreaking ceremony for the new Workforce Resource Center and Ebony Hills Golf Course Clubhouse.

This dual-purpose project represents a $7.2 million investment by EEDC that advances workforce development, strengthens employer support, enhances quality-of-life amenities, and improves municipal infrastructure. The project is funded through the EEDC’s 2019 bond program and $2 million in EEDC sales tax revenues, establishing a centralized location that connects residents with career opportunities while providing workforce recruitment, job training, and employer support services for local businesses.

The initiative also includes a new clubhouse for the Ebony Hills Golf Course, designed to enhance the experience for golfers and visitors alike. Construction is anticipated to be completed in Summer 2027.

The Ebony Hills Project Includes:

Construction of a new clubhouse, featuring four golf simulators and an expanded cart barn

Development of a multipurpose facility, housing the Workforce Resource Center and a dedicated workforce training space

Demolition of existing facilities

Enhancement of existing parking areas
