Edinburg area economy added 13,600 jobs in October, among fastest growing in US

The October jobs report is out, and it’s more good news for economic development in Edinburg.

The McAllen-Edinburg-Mission metropolitan area economy added 13,600 jobs in October, year-over-year. The region’s 5.2% growth rate ranked second behind Austin (which ranked second in the entire US) among large metros in Texas.

This is the second month in a row that the Edinburg area has ranked in the top 20 nationally.
