The Largest Job Fair in The RGV is This Friday In Edinburg!
EMPLOY RGV Will Host Over 125 Employers Looking to Fill 3,500 Job Openings
EDINBURG, Texas– The COVID-19 pandemic has created challenges for RGV families and businesses impacting the way people go about their daily lives. It’s why the City of Edinburg, Workforce Solutions, and South Texas College are partnering to bring you the largest job fair in the Rio Grande Valley! ‘Employ RGV’ will take place this Friday, October 8th from 10am to 2pm at the Bert Ogden Arena located at 4900 South I-69C, Edinburg TX.
“Workforce Solutions saw many Rio Grande Valley citizens displaced during the pandemic who are now seeking employment opportunities. Our efforts to support our local job seekers are amplified when we can rely on the support of our community partners such as the City of Edinburg. By leveraging resources, we are able to empower people by providing them with thousands of opportunities to secure new jobs and careers,” said Workforce Solutions CEO Francisco Almaraz.
Friday’s event gives job seekers the ability to network with over 125 employers actively recruiting to fill over 3,500 openings.
“This event is a prime opportunity for locals looking for a job and/or career advancement. It’s exciting to be able to bring the largest career fair in the region to the Bert Ogden Arena located in the heart of our city. Participating in events such as Employ RGV will not only help us meet the increasing demand for skilled workers, but it also fosters economic growth and showcases the resiliency of our community,” said Edinburg City Manager Ron Garza.
Employers from all industries across the state of Texas will be looking to fill a variety of full-time, part-time and seasonal positions. Candidates are encouraged to bring their resume and dress for success as these employers will be conducting preliminary job interviews on-site. Computers and printers will be available at the job fair for those who may need it. This is a ‘COVID Safe Event’ and facial coverings are highly encouraged.
