The City of Edinburg and the Edinburg Economic Development Corporation kick off 2016 by welcoming one of the top ranked steakhouses in the country. Bob’s Steak & Chop House will join the bustling commercial community at The Shoppes at Rio Grande Valley. Established in 1993 in Dallas, Texas, Bob’s has locations in San Francisco, Tucson, Austin, San Antonio, Nashville, Plano and Grapevine. Each location has its own distinctive personality, but the goal remains the same: “A great steakhouse experience.” Bob’s is known for serving the best cuts of meat available. In fact, each steak is hand selected from the top 2 percent of all beef. Bob’s famous pickles and warm loaves of bread are also among customer’s favorites.
Mayor Richard H. Garcia says Edinburg is proud to once again be leading the way in the Rio Grande Valley by offering residents quality choices when it comes to eating and dining: “I congratulate the EEDC Staff for its staunch efforts in pursuing prime restaurants and businesses for our community. Our residents deserve nothing but the best.”
Bob’s joins Texas Roadhouse and Ulta, the latest companies open for business at The Shoppes at Rio Grande Valley, on the corner of Trenton Road and I69 Central – one of the busiest corridors in Edinburg with more than 99,000 vehicles traveling it per day. This 120 acre commercial community by First Hartford Realty Corporation has already developed 450,000 square feet since the first tenants opened in 2008. With plenty of room to add more development, First Hartford is already working on expanding to more than 1,000,000 square feet.
Bob’s Steak & Chop House is slated to open in late 2016 and will create 50 full-time new jobs for the area. The steakhouse will be owned and operated by The Robert Company, a licensee of Bob’s Steak & Chophouse.
